Stud/Hold'em

There is a new game coming to the local poker club here in L.A. They are going to deal 3 down and then play the final 4 cards as a stud game. You can use any 5 cards to make the best hand-high. Anybody ever see this game, play it, or have thoughts on it.

Really more like a stud/holdem/omaha combo......you sure you dont have to use any cards in ur hand? that sounds like a real gambling game as any 2 may make the nuts PF and on the end somebody will have the stone nuts quite often. should make the house a ton of rake , break bad players pretty quickly and break the better players just a lil slower....if YOU can take bad beats and big swings it should be fun.......I wont go anywhere near it.............lol

Not everyone goes broke playing poker. In fact, there are several people in this world that make a decent living, and several like myself that make a nice supplemental income.

but I won't be playing that game, that's for sure!

Never Heard of It Before -

Sounds interesting but I don't think it will become more popular than Stud or Holdem. There will be a lot of more possible starting hands as opposed to the 169 in Hold-EM;
